Charity stag party for Thai boxer

A Thai boxer from the North East has a very different stag party planned, before he gets married in May.

Michael Dicks, who fights for a world title the month after his stag party, is heading on an ultra endurance two day event on the Brecon Beacons thanks to his best man and trainer Paul Hamilton.

In February Michael and 28 friends will split in to two teams before cycling 31 miles, completing a seven mile kayak and a 24km ‘walk’ with a 32lb pack, known as the Fan Dance which is part of the SAS selection process.

The losing team will face an ice bath, so motivation is high, but if that wasn’t high enough already the team are also raising funds for the NSPCC.

We really think this is a great stag party idea – Michael is a dedicated sportsman and so are his friends making the activity ideal and raising funds for a worthwhile cause is a fantastic idea.

We’ve been in touch with Michael’s best man Paul and he’s hopefully going to get some images from the stag party so we’ll update you soon.

Has anybody else had a charity based party?
