Top stag party related movies

Here’s our run down of the top stag party related films, from hilariously wild to the outrageously cringe-worthy these classics are essential cinema for any stag party organiser.

Some of the films should serve as a lesson to anybody who is organising a stag party!  Whatever you have planned for your stag party don’t forget to check out our UK stag party city guides to help you organise a memorable, but safe party.

Here’s just a couple of themes in the films you may want to avoid on your stag party:

  • Donkeys, monkeys and tigers
  • Mike Tyson
  • Lady boys
  • Tattoos
  • Missing teeth
  • Stun guns
  • Zombies

American Pie:  The Wedding

Stifler.  Need we say more?  Featuring some classic scenes including Stifler’s dance off and the moment Jim’s prudish in-laws come arrive home while the strippers are seriously getting down to business.

We love this clip of Stifler’s dance off:

Bachelor Party

80’s stag party extravaganza with Tom Hanks as the groom who has the ultimate party thrown for him – it even involves a donkey:

Very Bad Things

A stripper is accidentally murdered on a stag party, and then things really start to go wrong in this dark comedy thriller, with Cameron Diaz as the ultimate Bridezilla.  More of a warning than an inspiration:

The Hangover

When a stag party wake up in a hotel room with no memory of the night before and a tiger in the bathroom the scene is set for possibly the greatest stag party/buddy movie of all time:

The Hangover 2

We all hoped they would make a sequel and they did.  It’s definitely a case of déjà vu as the guys wake up in a room with no recollection of the night before, but who cares!  There are some brilliant comedy moments and our personal favourite line: “I wish monkey’s could Skype.”

And one extra for good luck:

Stag Night of the Dead

Yeah, we’re not really sure what this is about either; zombies, zomball, military compounds, stun guns and hordes of the un-dead.   Sounds a bit like Riga.
